Preserve the PRH Campaign launched

29 Oct 2004

A meeting called by Serena Tierney, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesman for Mid Sussex, has established the 'Preserve the PRH' campaign. The Campaign will bring together local community leaders and be led by Anne Jones, well known across the area for her work on health issues locally.

Serena Tierney said: "As the Hospital Trust consults on the future of services at the Princess Royal Hospital it is essential that the local community has a strong voice to represent their views. The 'Preserve the PRH' campaign will be that voice. Anne Jones has always stood up for local services."

The steering group for the campaign is now working on further questions for the Trust to establish the options for the future of PRH services.

"The Trust and the PCT have assured me that no decisions have yet been taken on the future of the PRH services," adds Serena.

""Local residents now have the chance to make their views known."

"We are continuing to collect signatures on the petition to retain the current A&E service at the Princess Royal Hospital and are well on our way to reaching 5,000 signatures in total."
