Local businessman Gaj Ragunathan, owner of Ashton House, Haywards Heath tells us why he's voting for Robert Eggleston on 12th December

Local businessman Gaj Ragunathan explains why he's voting for Robert Eggleston:

"It's neck and neck here, we've got to get out and vote for the Liberal Democrats"

Gaj will be voting for the Liberal Democrats on Thursday, recognising the work Robert Eggleston does in the local community and because he supports Liberal Democrat policies.

At his nursing home, Ashton House in Haywards Heath, Gaj explained to Robert that employing 140 people, mainly nurses and carers, he relies on the free movement of workers from the EU to fill vacancies that just cannot be met within the local job market. He also told us how concerned he is at the stress his staff have felt regarding their future in the UK, many have settled here in good faith but now have their lives overshadowed by uncertainty.

As well as being the party with the clearest policy to stop this damaging Brexit, Gaj recognises the Liberal Democrats as the party that puts tackling climate change and pollution at the heart of its identity, as well as being acknowledged as the best party for small and medium sized businesses. Within his field of business expertise, i.e the care industry, Liberal Democrat policies of investing in training, education, health and social care are clearly vital.
