Health Visitors back in Hassocks thanks to Kirsty Lord

Councillor Kirsty Lord

Health Visitors have now been reinstated in Hassocks Health Centre after they were completely removed from the baby clinics in May. These clinics had become 'self-weigh' with a nursery nurse and parent volunteer in attendance, resulting in parents having to travel to Hurstpierpoint to see a Health Visitor. Kirsty was concerned about the impact this would have around maternal mental health, child safeguarding and child health so stepped in, working with council officers to secure the return of Health Visitors to the Hassocks baby clinic.
