David Inglesfield, Chair of the Haywards Heath branch started AGM proceedings with a video of Jo Swinson's
campaign launch to set the scene for local branch activities over the forthcoming General Election
campaign weeks. With just 4 weeks left, there is so much for people to get involved with and be part
of.

Paul Lucraft, Vice Chair and Campaign Manager, then gave a campaign update and thanked those present for all
their hard work to date.

"Feedback in Mid Sussex, whilst we're out and about is very good" Paul explained. He described the
energy of the team, the tasks completed and the optimism on the streets. "We can sense a sea
change and we can win this and get Robert Eggleston elected to represent Mid Sussex."

The volunteer support across the branch is stronger than in previous campaign years and there is an
opportunity to make a real impact. Membership continues to rise locally and people are keen to
give practical support and do their bit. Paul shared the details of the recent Franklands by-election
campaign success, where candidate Nick Chapman saw a huge 11% upswing and came a very close
second, missing out by just 99 votes.

"We've made enormous progress building a campaign team" continued David Inglesfield "We're in
great shape for campaigning and can change Mid Sussex and Britain for the better."

The treasurer's report and secretary's report highlighted the finances and branch activity over the
past year. And finally, elections of officers took place with the following team being voted in for the
forthcoming year:

Chairperson: David Inglesfield

Vice Chairperson: Paul Lucraft

Treasurer: Nick Chapman

Secretary: Samantha Payne

Membership Secretary: Anne Marie Cooke

Committee Members:

Dylan D'Arch, Lars Janssen, Robert Mitchell, Alison Rees, Andrew Wightman, Peter Cox, Richard Bates, Stephanie Inglesfield

David concluded the meeting and thanked all present for their attendance, hard work and continued
support for Haywards Heath Liberal Democrats.

The room was vibrant with supporters chatting and enjoying refreshments afterwards and talking
about how they can help with the campaign. If you would like to get involved with the campaign.
