Downing Street hospital petition gets 1000 signatures in first week

8 Oct 2007

Commenting on the success of the e-petition to save the Princess Royal Hospital on the Downing Street website, Serena Tierney said:

" We have got nearly 2000 signatures in the first ten days. Now we're aiming to get 5000 by 17th November so that it is one of the top 50 e-petitions. If everyone who has signed so far gets 2 more people to sign up, we'll easily beat the target."

The petition, which reads: "We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Intervene to stop the closure of the A&E and maternity units at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath" is at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/SavePRH
