Hurstpierpoint Lib Dems have selected Fiona Jackson, a local business woman, to fight for the Hurstpierpoint and Bolney seat in next May's County Council Elections.

Fiona lives in Hurstpierpoint with her husband and two sons having moved here seventeen years ago to work for a local energy company. In 2019 Fiona founded her own consulting business as well as running a Women's Business Club to support female business owners.

She is an active member of the community as a leader in a youth group, and has been the Chair of Hurstpierpoint preschool, supported Hurstpierpoint Colts as their safeguarding officer and was a volunteer during lockdown as part of the fantastic Hurstpierpoint COVID Response team.

Fiona said: "I am very proud to have been selected. Lockdown has shown how many people are isolated and struggling to cope. Our foodbank does an important job, but in 2021 there shouldn't be a need for it. I passionately believe that we must provide much better social care and support for everyone in our villages."
